Located in London, Botanical Place addresses the rapid ageing of the UK's population, which is leading to a growing need for independent, active later living solutions. Currently, many individuals have no choice but to reside in unsuitable housing or transition to care facilities prematurely.
As a trailblazer in the later living sector within the UK, we acknowledge this urgency. Our mission is to establish vibrant, eco-friendly communities that are well-connected to bustling local hubs, revitalizing both urban and suburban areas as well as countryside locations.
Our Journey
Since 1981, we have been both developers and long-term managers of housing-with-care communities. We pioneered the first of such communities in the UK at Elmbridge in Cranleigh, Surrey. Currently, we manage 16 locations across the nation, offering over 1,500 self-contained residences.
In 2017, the Retirement Villages Group was acquired by AXA IM Alts - Real Assets, a global authority in real asset investments and Europe's leading real estate portfolio and asset manager. This acquisition was made on behalf of their clients to ensure sustainable, long-term investment in retirement living.
Empowered by AXA IM Alts, we have bold plans to develop over 5,000 new homes spread across more than 40 new sites in the upcoming decade, making suitable housing more attainable for a larger population of older adults.
