Bramshott has a rich history, with a manor and estate dating back to the Domesday Book. In the late 16th century, John Hooke, a wealthy cloth merchant, purchased the estate and built a magnificent Tudor mansion. After his death in 1640, his son Henry inherited it. By 1850, the estate was owned by the Earle family, who demolished many original buildings to construct Bramshott Grange. Between 1921 and 1982, the house served as the King George Hospital, but the site has since been redeveloped. The original Tudor gatehouse remains, a proud testament to a colorful history, with its beautifully carved brickwork and intricate detailing, making the village feel truly special.
