Chase New Homes has secured planning permission to redevelop the P.B. Donoghue site on Claremont Road, providing new homes in an office-led mixed-use development as part of the 180-acre Brent Cross Town regeneration area.
It will involve removal of the existing waste transfer station to allow for more local housing development, as well as the associated removal of large heavy goods vehicles from the area, improving its character.
The Regeneration: Offering 251 new residences with a range of one, two and three-bedroom apartments across three buildings, each complete with their own private outdoor amenity space in the form of a terrace or balcony. There will also be use of public outdoor spaces strewn throughout the campus in a successful interaction with landscaping.
The planting proposed along Felix St will be planted at an advanced height, with greater levels of planting provided along the road frontage to Claremont Rd, in order to enhance the appearance of both Claremont Road and the site. Earlier proposals also included enhancements to Millennium Green and the new public open space at the Donoghue site. The aim of these features is to develop a green and comfortable habitat for the living beings.
The building forms are inspired by traditional mansion blocks fused with London vernacular, to create a united development that has a strong sense of place. Every apartment will also enjoy their own outdoor spaces for uninterrupted natural light and air.
The redevelopment will complement the reinvigoration programme for Brent Cross Cricklewood by replacing industrial use with residential housing. Chase New Homes are committed to delivering much needed housing fast and,in so doing, improving the area.
The redevelopment of the PB Donoghue site is a key element in the wider Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme. The initiative aims to turn the area into a vibrant community with better infrastructure, amenities and options for housing.
Chase New Homes Chairman, Stephen Dann says: "we have listened to resident feedback throughout our consultations and are encouraging that community voice through the important final public consultation on these proposals. The input you provide will influence the final plans - helping to ensure their development aligns with the interests and desires of future homeowners.
